Recessed lights are also known as pot lights, can lights, or downlights are a good reason to be selected as it illuminates the room in a beam and avoids being invading sightlines or snagging any usable square footage.

LED recessed lightings can be easily installed in new homes ceilings before the material can be fitted during construction or renovation. It is placed in the ceiling between joists with mounting brackets that get nailed into the strapping. Then they are wired to the power source and the drywalls. If not, then look for the recessed lights that can be joined through a small hole. Recessed light fixtures can be selected from the wide range of variety it has. Retrofit pot lights can be chosen and installed there to serve the purpose.
Placement of the recessed light is all you must focus. Choose the led pot lights to illuminate the darker corner, or a task light to help you grab a complete access to and focus on a particular workstation or table or desk. Make sure you place a recessed LED above the desired work place, not where you would sit or stand, else you will be working under your own shadow losing the purpose of placing them. Always consider to place the recessed lighting LED two feet away from the walls.
The bulb size you use also matters a lot in illumination. Choose the right size with the right or suitable led fixture, according to the room size. The basic rule to place the next bulb from the first is to keep a distance in feet, according to the size of the bulb in diameter. If a bulb is 4 inches in diameter, there should be a 4 feet difference between the two. 4 inches diameter bulb is fine for a normal ceiling room. Whereas, 5 or 6 inches bulb would be better for a room with higher ceilings as they emit stronger light.
Sometimes, your room needs to be lit differently at different times of the day. It is suggested to add dimmers to suit your need and adjust lightings according to your moods and ambiance. For instance, trying to relax by your fireplace in the evening with a hot cup of coffee.
Lighting bulbs should also be chosen wisely. All types have their own pros and cons. ‘A’ bulbs are normal incandescent light bulbs used for general lightings. They aren’t expensive either. ‘R’ bulbs have built-in reflective factor that cast a spotlight pattern. Preferable for living rooms. Halogen types are good for bathrooms or kitchens particularly because of bright light beams. LED bulb types are long lasting and great energy savers. These are found in a variety of colour temperatures.
